Good venue for live bands. Well thought out for this purpose. Better than the 'Crunchy Frog' down the road. Genuine live bands. Unpretentious. Needs to be a bit bigger.

My partner booked a hotel for my birthday as a surprise and somehow managed to book a hotel miles from anymore so he re-booked 2 night s at The Derby, best mistake he ever made.The room we stayed in had everything we needed and was very clean and the bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.The manager and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Even though it was our first time staying there, it didn't feel like that as everyone was so welcoming.Will definitely be going back
