We've been coming here every year for my wife's birthday lunch. Never once disappointed us with the quality of food or service. Pricey? Yes, but then it is a Michelin star establishment. Thumbs up from us.

We were offered a creative seasonal menu of delicious fayre, assembled with skills which exploited every aspect of the ingredients to create dishes with: flavour, texture and beauty. When food looks this good, you just know it'll taste amazing. If there's a down side its the price. Otherwise I'd definitely be working my way through every menu the Pipe and Glass has to offer. More art than merely food, more intrigue than simply taste. This was one of those dining experiences when I wanted my wife to sample each of my courses and we both found ourselves recalling the descriptions in the menu to help us decipher the sensations on our tongues. Class.

Treated my mom to Christmas Eve lunch here. The setting is very rural and the drive was part of the experience as the countryside is gorgeous. When you walk in to the pub there is a small bar and a separate area where diners can enjoy a drink while they wait to be seated. We got our menu here already which felt off from a service perspective as it felt like they were rushing the experience. We had 3 courses including the Christmas goose. The food was very good and well presented but Im not sure its worthy of a Michelin star. There were too many elements on the main dish and the execution was not flawless, especially the cooking of the veg. The service was friendly but not as attentive as you would expect from a restaurant in this category. We had to ask for bread twice and waited a considerable time for plates to be cleared. Dining room decor was also a bit tired (grubby carrots etc.). Nice place if youre passing through but would not make a trip especially.

Fantastic meal for our daughters 30th birthday. Food amazing staff warm and welcoming and rhubarb gin just wonderful. Thank you for a lovely evening hope to be back soon.

This place is incredible, the food, the atmosphere and the staff are second to none! I've eaten here a few times and stayed the night as well.... highly recommended to anyone looking for a fantastic meal/night out. James and kate please keep doing what you're doing and see you soon
