Just returned from staying at one of the main cottages in the square as part of a group for a wedding (We had hired 3 of the 5 cottages). What a fantastic place to stay !! perfectly situated for easy reach to annan, lockerbie, moffat and springhill so travelling from such a remote location was great !! Fell in Love with the remoteness but still had the creature comforts of WIFI in the middle of a forest !! Cannot wait to book again for next year but loved it so much that may even consider spending Xmas here as the Snow will make the whole location magical !! BUT a word of warning, Sports Car avoid as this is very remote location and you do need a car with good ground clearance as it is a remote / forest / tract location. Will certainly visit again as the staff were also very welcoming and hospitable !
I have just returned back from a wonderful holiday at Kirkwood farm,My self, Gayna, flo, and Charlie had an amazing time, from feeding the animals to having great fun on the quad bikes.Anthony and Anne our hosts, could not have done enough for us from the moment we arrived to when we left.The cottage was three bedroom and very clean with everything that we needed. The grounds were wonderful for walking in we even had our own chaperone of a trained sheep dog which my son Charlie loved he is 12 by the way. And flo is 21.I would recommend this place very highly and we will be visiting again in the spring.

If you want complete rest and relaxation in the most magical place,then this is definitely the place for you. Hidden away you'll find a warm, clean cottage with red squirrels everywhere. Woodland walks, river annan within the grounds and excellent but un-intrusive customer service 5 star. A little peace of your dreams if you want a complete break x
